]]> A magnificent extra-large folio edition of The Holy Bible, containing the Old and New Testaments with the Apocrypha, together with the celebrated notes and commentary of the late Reverend John Brown. Printed and published in London by J. McGowan in 1823.

This edition includes references, illustrations, paraphrases of difficult and significant passages, explanatory notes, and evangelical reflections by Rev. John Brown, making it an important nineteenth-century study Bible.

The volume has been professionally rebound and restored in high-quality calf leather, ensuring it remains both an attractive display piece and a sound, usable reading copy for many years to come.

New headbands have been sewn by hand, and the original missing title page has been carefully recreated on acid-free paper and professionally sewn into the volume.

Despite being over 200 years old, the pages remain remarkably well preserved, making this an exceptional example of an early nineteenth-century King James Bible.
